Letter Arts Review 30:4 - my work on the cover

What a start for the year 2017! 

Just got my issue of Letter Arts Review -magazine and my piece, 

"The Gate Crasher" is on the cover! This is huge, my friends, since I feel that

my journey with "the line" is still so young. 

When Christopher ( editor of LAR -magazine ) emailed me about my piece, The Gate Crasher,
that if I could send him more pics,  I had to read the email couple of times, 

before I realized that this is really happening to me! What an honor.

And inside the magazine, there is a story about my piece and how did it born and
more info about the text which inspired me to do this piece.

This pic is taken from my solo exhibition, where The Gate Crasher was part of my exhibit.

I have been ordering this amazing magazine at least 17 years now, 

and every time it arrives to my mailbox, I read it through very carefully. 

Always it is full of interesting pictures and stories about talented artists. 

And now, my piece is inside - you can´t imagine, what I feel here now!

My long time teacher, tutor and dear friend Hazel Dolby and Sue Hufton, who has been 

my teacher and friend for a long time, too, are  on the same magazine with 

their super inspiring story about letters in Rome.  Also, talented Peter Furlonger and 

Gary Breeze are inside this issue.

Mikä alku vuodelle 2017!

Sain juuri postista oman kappaleeni Letter Arts Review -ledestä ja minun 

teokseni, Kuokkavieras, on kansikuvana ja sisäsivuilla on kertomus teoksen syntymisestä

ja siihen liittyvästä, kirjailija Jaana Ala-Huissin tarinasta. 

Kun lehden toimittaja, Christopher Calderhead lähetti minulle sähköpostia ja kyseli

lisää kuvia teoksestani, olin ihan ällikällä lyöty. Tähän lehteen ei useimmat graafisen suunnittelun

ja taiteen sekä kalligrafian ammattilaisetkaan pääse koskaan. Olin otettu ja kerrassaan 

ihmeissäni, onhan oma taiteellinen matkani kestänyt vasta vajaat 20 vuotta! 

Olen itse tilannut Letter Arts Review -lehteä noin 17 vuotta ja aina se yllättää

upeilla kuvillaan ja inspiroivilla jutuillaan. Tällä kertaa lehdessä on myös

pitkäaikaisen opettajani ja ystäväni Hazel Dolbyn ja uskomattoman upean

Sue Huftonin juttu Rooman kiveenkaiverruksista. Käsittämätöntä olla samassa

lehdessä näiden kahden taidemaailman "rokkitähden" kanssa.
